After two years of thinking, Will this finally be the thing that brings him down?, I’m not getting my hopes up. I am hoping, however, to see Trump forced to testify live on national television, tripping over his own lazy tongue, and accidentally admitting guilt with every sentence.
I liked Kelly Ann Conway’s complaints about there being no evidence… Ha! Like the IG declaring the whistleblower’s complaint to be a credible concern isn’t evidence enough all by itself to start an investigation.
That would be icing on the cake. Let the House investigate and impeach if founded (/s). Then hopefully Moscow Mitch will have been stiffed on a payment or 2 from Putin, actually do his job, and let the Senate deliberate and vote on charges.
Impeachment is basicly an indictment, not a conviction. Chances of him being convicted in the senate are slim to say the least unless it gets incredibly embarrassing for senators or those who put money in their pockets. And even more incredible would be to expect any straight answers or truthful answers. I’d expect to see an admission from him of his insanity long before any of that.
If only I could believe that Moscow Mitch, Bolshevik Barr, and Gestapo Giuliani would remember their own oaths of office as these proceedings get underway. On the upside, they can’t hide their actions either, especially Moscow Mitch. The electorate will be watching.
Imagine. There should be one day each year when every single politician would magically tell the truth, complete and honest. Nothing personal, though. You get one question each. Who and what would you ask?
And the media need to do a better job to avoid facilitating Trump’s propaganda by placing the blame on Biden (in spite of the exoneration of Biden by the Ukrainian government).

Fox News, of course, is the easy part. On Monday night, both Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity blasted the blame-shifting into overdrive.…Instead of snuffing out false and misleading claims, news stories give them oxygen. Then pundits come along to fan the flames — while simultaneously bemoaning what’s happened to our democratic norms.
That’s what Trump is counting on.
And why shouldn’t he? It’s worked for him every time."
Trump has already recycled his usual “Witch hunt” and “Presidential harassment” tweets. His sycophants like Jim Jordon are blabbing about how the Dems have wanted Trump impeached since day one. This stuff plays well on Fox Not News. The Trump “don’t you feel sorry for me” tour continues. Maybe the MAGA’s can chip in and get him a pair of golden handcuffs in time for his next rally.
After reading articles from WaPo and NYTimes, my head is swimming. The level of corruption on Trump’s latest mess is incredible. Barr was in on it with Rudy. Good grief. And the internet is on fire with comments and opinions. And of course I added my ‘hotheaded keyboard warrior’ opinion to the mix. So now I think I will just shut up and shut down and go do some ordinary things, like washing and ironing, cooking and cleaning, you know the mundane. Nobody in this house cares if I threaten the cat with no supper if he doesn’t mouse enough for me. My threats get ignored anyway. LOL.
