But instead, Reggie Jr. is using him to play pinball in the park, a new game Junior just invented.

Perhaps Miss Ellie will be moved to pick up the various bits of clothing. But probably not.

Miss Ellie may not be impressed, but he got a 9 from the mogul judge.

“Modicum” seems like one of those words which ought to have a special plural form, e.g. “Reggie, Lionel, and Trevor all preserved modica of dignity.” But the dictionaries I’ve looked in don’t bear this out. In fact, they don’t mention a plural form at all.

    It’s only a surmise, because I don’t know her…

but while the lovely Ellie does exude an air of careful consideration of ones appearance…

she also seems to appreciate the somewhat offbeat….

so perhaps would tender a degree of forbearance towards Reggie’s obvious effort to gain her attention.

As for her own artfully contrived ensemble… I believe she is giving her Christmas garb another run for its money.

Yes, it’s March. But in this corner of Ballard County, the snow still lies on the grass.

Soon, it will melt… but meanwhile… why not make use of ones fur-trimmed velvet and tall snug boots… instead of hiding them away till December?

Catch up to her, Reggie… I think you two have much to talk about.

Meanwhile… I love these Sunday outings, which Mr. Van Amerongen colored himself, with a cartoonist’s eye for restraint…

meaning a lack thereof. which no mere hired colorist would dare to display.

That very much resembles my new puppy. She’s a rambunctious wild child, to say the least.

I think Reggie Jr is trying to impress as well. A strong playful ability is bound to get a nice tummy rub later.

She should be thankful – now the ladie’s club has something new to discuss over tea this afternoon.
