Just because the names don’t quite sound like the kids I periodically encounter, I looked up the 10 most popular girl names from 2010, which is about when these girls should have been born. They are: Isabella, Sophia, Emma, Olivia, Ava, Emily, Abigail, Madison, Chloe, and Mia.
So, gullibility isn’t foreign to me, but Dakota doesn’t seem as fancily dressed as she usually is, in fact, she’s almost copied Phoebe (purple shirt, jeans). Wonder if this actually is an honest attempt for inclusion. On one hand I hope so, but on another, then the strip would lose a solid conflict point. Luckily these strips are already drawn, so I guess we’ll see what happens!

They already know Phoebe, but Phoebe need to be introduced to them. Remind me again what the definition of “popular” is.

Seems to me that the three of those girls have no personality. At least from how they are drawn.

How come all of Dakota’s friends are place names too?!

She should probably have introduced Phoebe as “Howell”, based on the naming conventions in her clique

I don’t think any of these girls were the ones at Dakota’s pool party.

Apparently the requirements for being one of the cool girls are quite stringent. At least, as far as names are concerned.

That’s a great first line for a poem: “Addison Madison MacKenzie and Brooke”. Or a good name for a law firm.
