Hitler needed to transform the office of Chancellor of Germany (to which Hitler was APPOINTED [like Trump, he never won a popular vote]) into all-powerful dictatorial Führer, so his henchmen burned the Reichstag (national legislature), Hitler declared a “national emergency” and assumed the powers of martial law, suspended the legislature, suspended elections and, well, the rest is history.
Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines thought that was a great idea, so with the assent of Richard Nixon, did the same and became a dictator in the Philippines.
I have little doubt that Trump will make a similar effort IF he can be assured that he has enough support from his court appointments and the military generals who actually have the power of armed force to make it happen.
Is that smoke I smell coming from the Reichstag? I mean Senate?
Is that Mitch McConnell holding the smoking match?
President Trump is daring the U.S. House of Representatives to impeach him. The House majority is progressive and intends to help govern our country through the crisis that is Trump, which is far more important than who sits in the Oval Office.
The American people can only be pushed so far though. Mr. Mueller will help us decide how far is far enough.
His predecessor, George W. Bush, allegedly referred to the Constitution as just a “piece of paper.” That’s clearly the opinion of Mr. Trump who merely ignores it.
Oh – I suspect that a lot of the checks ended up in his bank account. The condos bought by Russians in Miami, New York and elsewhere . . . loans from Russian banks, loans from Deutsche Bank with Vlads backing.

Trump likes ‘acting’ cabinet members. They give him more ‘flexibility’. That way he avoids that pesky step of getting them confirmed by the Senate.

Since WHEN does that useless Fat-Ass even KNOW what the U.S. Constitution IS???

Everyone should be thankful that Trump had nothing to do with writing the Constitution.

You mean like Congress having to authorize the checks? Say, hasn’t Trump always been unbalanced?

He’d like that. :-(

No, the Electoral College, that was the worst deal (compromise) ever along three-fifths compromise.
