    Fortunately, this turns out not to be the case. We are on track to meet the IPCC goals of 50% renewables by 2030, and 100% before 2050. Also, electric cars will be cheaper than gas guzzlers in Europe in 2021, and almost everywhere in 2022. And natural gas power plants will start to be closed, just like coal-fired plants.

    I know of only one reasonable purpose for not calling our current investigations an impeachment inquiry. It is allowing us to get on the record court opinions in favor of the normal powers of Congressional investigation, while blowing up the fatuous nonsense put forward by the President and his minions.

    Otherwise, not impeaching reinforces Bothsiderism, while impeaching brings out more of the Democratic base. But we will get there long before the election, so that’s fine.
