That’s his way of saying “Eat it or go hungry, cat!”

My kitty loved her food. She had two small cans a day and I never had to coax her to eat. She was a real sweetheart ♡

Cat will get payback somehow. They always do.

A close friend, who seems otherwise sane, has a cat that will only eat imported smoked salmon, found at only one store in the area, far from his home.

We used to think one of our cats was a picky eater, but it turned out what she wants is either to go outside and run around, or get some play time and jump around. She really needs to feel like she has hunted before she will “eat her prey.”

I switched food brands and was worried about her rejecting it. She ate some old food, tried some of the new, and used her claws to pick out the old food.

The only time my cats have snubbed food was a liver-based food that all four of them turned their noses up at multiple times. It smells bad to me, too, but the dogs don’t mind. I do have to coax my elderly cat to eat, but he isn’t picky.

My daughter’s cat snubs most human food. The stuff she does like (cotton candy, sushi grade salmon, marshmallows), my daughter feeds her sparingly so it stays a treat. Otherwise she eats dry food. She is 15 yrs. old with the start of some controllable health issues, but seems to be doing fine. :o)

My present cat is the first finicky cat I’ve ever owned. Over the decades I’ve had all manner of cats and all of them were good eaters… then came Fuzzbutt. So a year ago as he hit 22 lbs I took over his feeding from my husband and my first comment was, Eat it my way or go hungry. He’s now down to 15 lbs and is much healthier and he… eats what I give him.
