What ABOUT hugging and kissing, Lucy?

I played many sports, and I was bad in all of them. (Still, I was there.)

Thank Heaven that kissing and hugging were not sports when I was a kid.

Those numbers are all for spectator popularity, to answer Lucy’s question. If we talk about participation (and limit it to competitive sport, Lucy) I think basketball would win in the US, followed by baseball if you include the soft variety. In Germany, by the way, it is Fussball — spectator and participation.

Can we talk about how bowling is more popular than hockey

The areas where that is considered a spectator sport are a bit disreputable.

See my comment on “the bigger the ball and the higher the score, the more Americans like the sport.” How can I forget bowling? What’s even better, it’s one of the few sports where you can drink beer while playing.

They were going to include kissing and hugging in the most recent Olympics, but all the participants were still competing from the previous one.
