There better be a ton of them because we each need three to make ends meet. I notice it is lifting off so it must be mostly hot air.

And how many of these jobs will each middle class citizen have to work at once to make ends meet?

Exactly why is overinflating the ball until it’s likely to suddenly burst a good idea?

Varvel is positing causality without evidence of anything more than correlation (and not all that great correlation either).

As a business owner/employer for nearly 20 years, I never hired because a tax cut or more profits put more money in the till, but to help service our customers when and as needed. I also lived through at least two cycles of too many folks needing jobs and too few potential employees to fill openings. Neither situation was fun. Varvel’s contention that the tax cuts create more jobs is bull.

What the conservatives consistently ignore is the fact that the economy is booming is due to $1 trillion a year of borrowed money being pumped in. If they cut spending to eliminate the deficit, the economy would drop precipitously due to contractor layoffs, unemployed workers and many thousands of others without an income to spend.

There is no verified correlation between tax cuts and jobs. Most of the tax cut money went to stock repurchases to drive up the company’s stock price and increase executive bonuses. But, why let facts get in the way of your ideology?

Odd how that tax cut hasn’t helped me-course I’m not a corporation or a member of the 1%
