Those eligible to be classified as DACA

1) were never (yet) abandoned

2) are not (i.e., no longer) little children (false portrayal)

3) crossed the border more than a decade ago and so are not currently a matter for the Border Patrol (on enlargement, the shoulder patch appears to read “USBP”, not “ICE”)

4) were not separated from their parents (as implied by no parents being in the cartoon) when they did enter the US; in fact, they were brought into the US by their parents

Any adult who knowingly brings a child across a border of a foreign land illegally is the person(s) to be held morally responsible for the legal fate of that child, regardless of how much time passes. So if John is smuggled across the border of Isdastan as a child and 30 years later he is discovered to have no legal citizenship status in that country, and is expelled, that is the ‘fault’ of whoever brought John in initially.

If a burglar brings his child with him when he enters my home without permission, does the child have a right to remain? Does rewarding past lawlessness encourage future lawlessness?

Trump offered citizenship to 1.8 Million dreamers at a point the Dems were asking for green cards for fewer than 1 million.

The return was wall funding and reduction of lottery and chain immigrants.

The Dems absolutely refused. Threw the dreamers under the bus. Never countered. Just walked away.

Until the Schumer shutdown.

No one wants to talk about WHY. The Dems want those chain migrants to keep flowing. 750k-1M per year, with a 3-5 year path to citizenship. Guess who those new citizens vote for.

Trump understands that unlimited chain migration will result in a permanent Dem majority.
