To be fair, if Lucy’s not the head of the household, why is the phone left in such easy reach?

Person on the other line: “Nice try, young lady. Now get me the head of the household.”

I love the look on her face.

If someone asked for the head of the household in my house, I’d have to put the cat on.

Lucy began taking over at a very early age.

Asking for “Head of the Household” tells you that it’s a sales call/telemarketer. I know; I used to do this years ago. (HATED IT).

Not all that different than the average cat.

Ah, the days when almost all telephone calls were really for someone in your household and with a human being, not a robot, on the line. Sigh!

I did this all the time when I was a teen…it helped to get my family taken off of several telemarketing lists…

Someone has a big ego.

Nowadays I leave the ringer off and the voicemail on. Much more relaxing that way.
