Why ol’ Trumpy oughtta make this fella a supreme court judge instedda that lyin’ drunken, jackass mysogonizer Trumpy had on his teevee show last Thursdee!
Sigh. It was NOT the exposing (no pun intended) of Kavanaugh’s contemptible behavior in high school and college that should have (if Republicans were intelligent, honest, and patriotic) doomed his nomination. It was the CONSTANT perjury, dating back quite literally decades!
Not long ago, I heard a radio interview with a scholar — a social scientist, I believe — who has devoted research into the attitudes and beliefs of the “disenfranchised white male,” or alt-right crowd. He’s observed, generally speaking, that many like to blame their problems and anger on immigrants and people of color, and how those of this cohort who are unemployed will frequently talk about how blacks and immigrants took away a particular job for which they’d applied. He went on to describe how, in personal interaction with his subjects, he’s put the question to them, “What makes you think it was your job to lose in the first place?”
If it was feigned the Dems should actually love him. He is meeting their normal standard for themselves.
If real, well, consider sitting in front of 10 smug untouchable politicians who are actively engaged in your character assassination, questioning you on crap that makes no difference and supporting allegations that have not even the slightest shred of corroboration or evidence.
Consider being the target of one of the most disgusting smear campaigns in recent history. Consider that the machinations of the 10 are partially responsible for death and rape threats against you and your family.
His “rehabilitation” has been even more sickening than his nomination.
Speaking of Boofy, did you know he once wrote that the president (not the courts) should be able to nullify laws he thinks are unconstitutional? Apparently, he believes in the divine right of presidents. No wonder Rump likes him.
More than two choices. His outrage could have actually been real, AND he could have attempted rape—in this case his outrage was caused by people DARING to question his perfectly saintly nature. (Spoiled children become spoiled adults.) But I think it was a performance piece—like Clarence Thomas’s peformance piece. And Kavanaugh MIGHT want to stop lying under oath—once in a while somebody is probably indicted for that!
Yes, this is all so sad. I am so sad. I know that ‘the times they are a changing’. The landscape may never be the same, and I am old enough that I will never see it through, but could it have ever been any different?
He is going to be part of the fabric now. To remove him from his position will take a super majority of the senate and evidently this cannot be changed by a simple majority as was the confirmation process. What would it take to lock in the super majority for confirmation such that it is not possible to change it upon a simple whim?
Let’s all look into this, as soon as the score is evened out!

Trump once said, he’d be winning so much that we’ll get sick of winning.
He’s right. I’m sick of it!

Brian, congratulations on another spot-on story. However, you did miss one small feature — shouldn’t BK be shoving something in Lady Justice’s face?

Brett: I am an inept, impish jughead.
I fully concur.

Why would I consider those things? They have nothing to do with Kavanaugh
