Richard Nixon, the most corrupt president prior to Comrade TRUMPski, also put the press on his “enemies list.” Other presidents often squirmed under press scrutiny, yet defended the press and stood up for it.

It is what real presidents do.

The United States has always been a champion in the struggles against tyranny and oppression.

We won the Revolutionary War against an unjust, above-the-law monarchy.

And now we have an administration that’s trying as hard as it can to unilaterally surrender in all of them.

Analyses of the media in the US make it very clear that the majority of Americans are getting RIGHTWING opinion in the place of news. Specifically, FoxNews. FoxNews has itself admitted that only a couple of hours a day are actual news, and the rest is opinion, despite the name of the network.

Furthermore, research into the personalities and practices of people who self-describe as liberal versus conservative make it clear that liberals are far more open to diverse perspectives than conservatives. One of the “Big Five” factors of personality is Openness to Experience (as opposed to Consistent/Cautious), and liberals average significantly more open than conservatives. By definition, liberals are likely to take in more views, and therefore be better informed than conservatives. (I’m a personality psychologist myself, and not surprised by this, but I get the journals.)

So your insulting assertion that somehow liberals are in a bubble is categorically incorrect based on …facts you don’t accept into your bubble. Hm.

First Child Detained by Trump Reportedly dies due to ‘Possible Negligence’

Update 3:33pm Eastern: HillReporter has just learned, via the Washington Post, that the The American Immigration Lawyers Association has confirmed that a child did in fact die shortly after being released from the ICE detention center in Dilley, Texas. This is what AILA had to say:

“AILA has learned that a toddler died soon after release from the Dilley South Texas Family Residential Center,” Gregory Z. Chen, director of government relations for the 15,000-member association, said in a statement. “We do not have information on the cause of death or information that confirms a connection between medical treatment at STFRC and this death.”
