Wiley’s common scents are because he does not like water. Wiley’s dictionary is free. It does not cost common cents. But yet his common sense is uncommon.

Common sense does not embrace the rare genius of my way of thinking…

I believe the quote is attributed to Ben Franklin. “The problem with common sense is it isn’t.”

It’s uncommon and we all think we’re the ones who have it.

And even less often sensible.

The ability to work within the constraints of reality to improve one’s reality.

And… especially rare in American politics lately.

…ah …ah …ah-CHOO!

I didn’t know common sense was invented in B.C.

Ugh. This is such an old, over-used joke. It’s not funny. Make something new, folks.

Why do they call it common sense when it’s so rare?

This reminds me of when Ernie Kovacs said that television is called a medium because it is neither rare nor well-done.

My grandmother’s favorite expression was, “Common sense is very rare.” And I don’t care who originated it, or how long it has been around, it’s worth repeating!

Robert A. Heinlein said it as “Why is it called common sense when sense has never been common?”
