They don’t do it that way anyhow. They ’phone it in and you never see it. (Nobody has to read the scribbling.)

You never hurt when you leave the hospital. It’s when the drugs you were given there wear off that you start to reconsider.

I do like Vicodin for pain, but from what I hear the street cost of it is so ridiculous I would never pay it

The news says prescription addiction is out of control, I wonder how addicts afford it

My mother in law just passed away this month. She had a history of bad back, joint replacements and finally cancer. We found enough Vicodin and Oxy this and Oxy that in her house to support a drug cartel for a month. Literally over a thousand pills. So much we had to contact authorities to dispose of them. This country needs to tighten up oversight of drug companies, doctors and pharmacies. At least hospice kept tight tabs on the morphine.

Opioids make me sick. Can’t do anything except lie in bed, trying to not move my head.

How on gods green earth anyone can call that recreational is beyond me.

When I broke my wrist, the doctor wrote a prescription for Vicodin. I did not have it filled. I used just a couple of Advil the first night instead. After that I did not use anything.

I suspect tomorrows cartoon will have him wishing he had those pills. Perhaps the twist on this plot will have him going on the street to get pain relief drugs.

2 years ago hip surgery. The oxycodone drip made me sick. Had them stop it.Minimal pain. Xtra strength tylenol worked just fine. They made me take a script for 60 oxycodone pills. Tore it up as my wife drove us away . Both shaking our heads. They meant well I’m sure….but really?

I’ve been on opioid medications for years. I wondered if this particular storyline (which I’ve really enjoyed by the way) would raise the issue of opioid usage or not. I know it’s just a comic, but it could have some impact at the same time.

I had 2 dental implants put in a few months ago. I took 2 extra strength acetaminophen when the anesthetic wore off. That was all I needed. Pretty much the same story with extractions.

I found out Naproxen Sodium worked better than the opioid pain reliever that was prescribed for me when I had dental surgery. The opioid didn’t do anything for the pain, just made me fall asleep. Naproxen Sodium stopped it.

The only time I was given pain pills was for kidney stone. I took one, it knocked me on my butt and never again. But I was thankful for the brief reprieve.
