What does campaign money usually go towards? For example – what did Hillary’s go towards?

It’s doubtful Trump ‘people’ read Doonesbury but it would be interesting to see how many these forms actually get filled out and sent.

If the Democrats were not such obstructionists, the money could have been spent on more useful things.

Donald Trump spent far less on his presidential campaign than Hillary Clinton did, but the eye-popping money surrounding his inauguration weekend raises a few questions. The president’s inaugural committee, which is supposed to be a nonprofit organization, brought in $107 million in donations and used nearly all of it, far exceeding the money spent by Barack Obama in 2009 ($55 million) and in 2013 ($43 million).

“They either totally mismanaged the $107 million they raised, or they treated it as it can be treated because of the loose transparency requirements around it: as an opportunity to have a slush fund,” Kerrigan explained.

Donald Trump and the Case of the $107,000,000

No one seems to know how Team Trump managed to spend $107 million in donations for his inauguration

‘Just saying’ — BBC Three compares royal wedding crowd to Trump’s inauguration

BBC Three straight up compared his inauguration to the massive audience lined up to watch the wedding ceremony, which Trump reportedly wasn’t even invited to. “Just saying” nothing; that was obvious shade.

Think this all went over well with Trump’s fans? It did not.

I donated, but only for the purpose of getting Trump a couple of extra fish sticks on Friday. I’d hate to see him go hungry.

Want to be rich? Live a life that doesn’t enrich doctors and lawyers. Only way Trump beats this system is conning people to give him money. When he dies, we’ll have clearer picture how poor he really is (probably not really). Probably as poor as his daughter and her husband owing millions.

Robert Miller has won the false equivalency prize today. The funny thing is that no one ever insists that I be arrested for robbing a bank just because someone else didn’t. You see, it doesn’t work that way. I can’t be accused of something simply because someone else did it. The same is true of trump and comparing him with other candidates. Trump is in a class by himself. He has lied since the beginning of his campaign about everything you can think of and continues to do so. He has taken bribes from various governments and we have proof of this in the actions he takes. Trump asked Russia publicly for the missing Clinton emails. Trump recently is working with the Chinese spy phone company, which works against American intelligence. Trump is a traitor. The only way to get rid of him is to vote him out it would appear. VOTE DEMOCRATIC IN 2020.

Trump Disciples posting here evidently missed the part about the donations being to the Trump INAUGURATION fund.

    Not the CAMPAIGN fund.

    .

The INAUGURATION fund collected hundreds of millions of dollars and has few limitations on how it can be spent. Some of the money has been spent on legal bills for Trump himself.

The fund has almost no transparency and is a bigly slush fund for whatever Trump wants.

Hence the check off list at the end.

    .
