    Those couldn’t have been sent by Trump. He’d only send products from his brands or brands he owns stock in. Why would anyone not up Trump’s behind believe Trump would willingly do something that he didn’t personally profit from?

    Yeah kids, you’re getting a big box of nothing. That’s what I was afraid of but I was also hoping something might change.

    Social democracy is a political, social and economic ideology that supports economic and social interventions to promote social justice within the framework of a liberal democratic polity and capitalist economy as well as a policy regime involving a commitment to representative and participatory democracy, measures for income redistribution and regulation of the economy in the general interest, and welfare state provisions. Social democracy thus aims to create the conditions for capitalism to lead to greater democratic, egalitarian and solidaristic outcomes; and is often associated with the set of socioeconomic policies that became prominent in Northern and Western Europe—particularly the Nordic model in the Nordic countries—during the latter half of the 20th century.

    In a recent column conservative pundit George Will called lying reactionary Sean Hannity “oleaginous.” Wonder if Toles got it there or on his word-of-the-day calendar. I’m surprised there wasn’t a little sign in the collection: “Break a leg, crisis actors!”

    That box that Mr Toles drew in this panel is the level of nutritional value that Trump’s Harvest boxes are going to contain. At any rate, well done Mr Toles!!!!!!

    TRUMP’S GIFT HORSE’S MOUTH – {rhyme}

    Look at his gift horse’s devious mouth; -

    - if you take this present then things will go south.

    Trump’s solutions are merely illusions

    which won’t stymie gunners’ crazy intrusions.

    UPPING MY MOOD – {rhyme and coda}

    Today so far I’ve just schlepped,

    and hours too long I’ve just slept.

    Maybe by news I’m depressed?, -

    - by pols’ mis-doings distressed?

    Might up my mood be kept

    were pols more adept, less inept?

    Might up my mood be less messed

    by seeing the Trumpites’ arrest?

    … Coda:

    As surely you might have guessed,

    to questions like these I have yessed.

    Notice the Diet Coke? That’s reputedly the beverage of choice for our teetotalling leader. And aren’t we all pathetically grateful that he doesn’t do hard liquor?

    I understand we had Laura Bush to thank for getting #43 on the wagon. Who deserves our gratitude for this one?

    The problem with putting the Trump team in cages

    Is this: there’s a shortage of needed band-AGES

    Because, on the way to the hoosegow these babies

    Are liable to give the whole nation the rabies!

    Jan 10, 2018 – NEW YORK — Five banks, including a big lender to President Donald Trump, have received temporary reprieves from the administration to run businesses that they otherwise would have had to shut down after criminal convictions.
