This is the most creative this strip’s been in years. I love this.

Perhaps the best moment of candor since Jim Davis’ appearance on the Too Close For Comfort television series decades ago. And certainly a more encouraging story arc than the hapless Jon moments that eventually lead to self-depreciating revisits in Garfield Minus Garfield.

And yet people are giving the new Nancy grief for the same style of joke.

Love that before his signature, Jim Davis says “Right!”

No revelations here. Jim Davis has been lazy for a long time.

Of course, if Jim was really lazy, he could have just copied the first panel two more times, instead of putting in the effort of attempting to draw Garfield again.

Or, even better, copied an old strip.

Some day the staff at Garfield, Inc. will make a funny one.
