   This strip was February 8, 1988, so after the affair came to light. Hart had exited the race after the scandal, but re-entered in December 1987, but then performed poorly in the primaries.

   Ace Hardware is a retailer cooperative, not a traditional chain, so you will get more of that local characteristic. But we lost our local hole in the wall hardware store where I could go buy a single screw from a bin if I needed it.

   Great question and great info. Guiness lists the record as “in a fixed habitat”, though they also still have it listed as 73 days. But it sounds like subs may be excluded either way.

   Thanks for the link. That’s extra frustrating. I had just assumed they were low-resolution scans due to the age of the originals, but I don’t understand why they are posting low quality ones if better scans already exist.
