Someone asked me if I ever go fishing with hubby. Tell them in 32 years, I’ve caught 1 fish but I’ve got the art of getting my line wet down pat. Do I care? Nope—I’m on the boat, on the lake, and my work phone is locked up in the truck. Even been guilty of taking a short nap a time or two…

Lol—they now own the house and we’re their staff. You know—the normal when you have a cat (or 3).

Hubby rescued his 3 when he found them in our barn last October. Their feral mother had been killed-we didn’t know they existed. Appeared to be about 3 weeks old at that time. One was so weak he syringe-fed him for days; the other 2 could barely lap milk. On day 4 of this mission to keep them alive, his buddy said feed them baby food. Yep. We went thru 30 jars (still not sure how a baby eats the foul-smelling stuff). They LOVED it. And yes, it was very messy but it kept them alive.

Had to WFH recently. I’m on the phone, one of hubby’s kittens wants attention by wrapping himself around my ankles—I ignore him. He then climbs the back of my office chair and drapes himself across the back—I’m still ignoring him. Now he takes his paw and pats my shoulder—still ignoring him. He’s now tired of this so he extracts his claws and pats—-HARDER. Thank goodness I wasn’t on a video call and could mute…….

My son’s tool belt looked like this before he switched fields. The going joke on every job site was to tell a rookie he had to wear it for 1 day—it weighed in at 61 pounds. I asked once why couldn’t he slim it down a bit? He let me know quickly how unhandy it was to be 12-14 storeys up and need something.

My oldest granddaughter and I are so fair, she says we have tones—alabaster or tomato. Depends on the season.

We have a zero-turn—our yard is 5.5 acres. So hubs is mowing around some low-hanging tree branches this week; one of the low-hanging branches smacks his face, knocks his glasses off. To add insult to injury, he ran over them with said mower that has a triple-blade deck. Good thing we had optometry appointments yesterday….
