The resolutions to diet and exercise made on New Year’s Day will be broken by January 15, and the gyms will be empty with tumbleweeds blowing through them at that time. This is why I don’t make New Year’s resolutions because 99% of them will be broken by the middle of January anyhow.
I never make resolutions anymore. I made resolutions when I was very young, but soon realized that the date for those resolutions is arbitrary. Now, when I decide to change something about myself, there is no pressure tied to it. They aren’t resolutions, only a try to make a better me. This also includes plans on how I can accomplish this task, and it works.
Holly has you mom, so no new resolutions. For me celebrating a birthday while others prepare for New Year’s Eve. I do go to church and Bible Study today was Christmas breakfast week late with Christmas on a Monday. We ate out today then ice/cream no chocolate allergic too and makes no difference how light on chocolate and cake with whipped topping icing. My New Years resolution I live each day so I do not make new ones.

The third panel sums it up: Just making a list doesn’t mean anything’s gonna be automatically accomplished.

I have a suggestion for a resolution for GoComics:
To resolve to fix the dang “multiple-postings” glitch!

Twice a year – New Year’s and Ash Wednesday – I promise to be less judgmental and more forgiving. I’m not making as much progress as I’d like.

I’m 60 years old and I’ve only made two resolutions over the years. One I kept and one I broke. 50/50 is pretty good if you ask me.

Why make resolutions on January 1st? Why can’t you decide to change on some other day?
