DARSAN54, I think you are correct. The reason 45 can stay in place – the reason he got elected in the first place, is because he does represent the real thoughts and feelings of a far-too-large proportion of the American population. There has always been this split – from the beginning, there were those who wanted to co-exist peacefully with the original inhabitants (even asking permission to be there), but more who wanted to wipe them out or at least subjugate them. From the beginning, there have been those who thought enslaving another human being was evil, and they spoke up against it – yet there were more who thought it was fine as long as they were the enslaver. Throughout our history, we have always had those who desire nothing more than to be on top and oppress anyone else not like them – and there have been those who have fought to preserve civil rights for all. I doubt there will ever be an end to this clash, and it isn’t really surprising that it has erupted so publicly. The veil of civility – already straining over the past couple of decades – is finally ripped off.
The latest polls show President Trump maintaining a 35% approval rating even after all the missteps, collusion with dictators, outright bigotry and bald hate. It puzzles me why he still has such popularity with a portion of our populace.
One third of us, we Americans, are blinded by dogma and ignorance. Sad to say, 1/3 of Americans, people who are supposedly our brothers, are selfish and willfully hateful by nurture (hopefully not nature).
If nurture versus nature is part of the cause, and it’s probably another good reason that homeschooling is a bad idea. If one third of our country are racist white supremacists they are going to continue to nurture racist white supremacists at home. Nelson Mandela was quoted that children are born loving but need need to be taught to hate. They aren’t born racist white supremacists their parents teach them that.
In a nation of 320,000,000 people, it’s naive to think that there is some set of values shared by everybody. And, as information distribution becomes increasingly siloized, it’s probably just going to get worse.
Trump could declare itself the anti-Christ, shoot fire from his eyes and vomit a swarm of locusts and still not lose his base. He would be defended with comments like: “As the son of Satan, you know he must be real smart and know how to get things done!”

TRUMP AS BATMAN – {Rhyme, Caveat, Image}
When Batman’s off-duty, we’ll signal for Trump.
He’d pummel our foes with his WHAP-SLAM-THUMP!!
With Bannon his Boy Wonder,
this Duo of Thunder
would CRUNCH-BOP-KaWHOP our enemies asunder.
… Caveat:
Here’s a a risk we might oughta dread: -
- maybe they’d Biff-Bam-Wham US instead.

TRUMP’S SHADOW – {a rhyme}
The Donald’s shadow forms a yuuge eclipse,
ominously foreshadowing an apocalypse
under Plutocrats’ and Alt-Righters’ sponsorships.
They’re squeezing our world with tightening grips.

UNLESS HE YANKS OUR CHAIN – {a rhyme}
Gentle, the sunrise’s sky’s pastel.
It feels like the day’ll be going quite well, -
- unless The Donald he yanks our chain,
again to make a day a pain
that feels like he’s yanking us straight to hell.

The eclipse of racism over our American values. This too shall pass, but a lot of people will get hurt for the president’s racism.

In times gone by people thought an eclipse was a sign of bad times. I guess they were right.

Please, God, show us a sign that we need to get rid of Trump as President.
Doesn’t have to anything big, just something noticed across the US, like blocking out the sun for a few minutes.
