Ancient astronaut theorists suggest to throw a pail of water when the evil vacuum creatures from outer space are asleep. That way, they’ll rust to death. But they also suggest not to try to throw water on this fiendish alien monster when it’s awake, or it will zap you with electrifying rays, immediately roasting you to death. Anyways, since cats despise touching water, this trick won’t be much useful for cats anyways. Now, back to our brave correspondents who are facing these alien evil and covering it live, only on your Breaking Cat News channel… We’ll be right back after a short break…

Forget throwing a pail of water on the alien – just back up to it. When it is asleep it will not electrify the ‘thrower’.

Cats are so funny when they have to work up the courage to bat at something.

Well, cats are so funny period, which is the point of the whole strip.

I had an old tom cat who would actually attack the vacuum cleaner. Brave old soul!

My cats aren’t brave enough for the batting part. They’re more into the retreat part. Ha ha.

If it’s not a broom, leave the room!

Of course, even worse than the vacuum is the machine that shampoos the rug. It not only makes noise, but it gets rid of those lovely, lovely scents that the cats spent so much effort putting down. It’s EVIL!

Sit on a high safe perch and send the Death Stare at the vacuum…

Lupin is so cute with his little ears and eyes above the back of the chair. Not afraid. Just careful. Got to be careful with a….VACUUM CLEANER!!!!
