As much fun as petting porcupines. The look on their faces says it all.

The secret to dancing is to hold the woman really close to you and then…well that’s it actually.

Reading this strip as an adult, I am struck by all the unhelpful gender stereotypes. Who knew this one could be stretched to a whole week of jokes!

You just know that all those frowns are going to turn upside down when the men realize they’re having a great time.

When Dirty Dancing came out I was forced to go to ballroom dancing classes for 6 months by the wife. Not thrilled,. But it turned out to be a lot of fun. Took time though, so I commiserate with these guys.

IN Jr. High all the girls did have cooties! Amazingly, the fairer sex was cured in Sr. High! Obviously a medical miracle! :-D

Chicks dig dancing. Guys dig physical contact.(Does that guy standing to the extreme right look like Anthony? I know he’d be too young for this group right now…)

I thought that the men would perk up a bit when they got a good look at the dance instructor.

This is hilarious! Reminds me of our first Tai Chi class, except there was about a 5-1 ratio of women to men.It kept me going back for a while.

It would be more fun for the men if the wives weren’t with them. The men are going to catcht hell if they hold the instructor to close.

The husbands deserve a nice night out at the pub or a sports bar after all of this torture.

Bruce4671I recall a fad of using ballet training for basketball. The lifts help upper body strength, entrachat builds leg muscles, etc. Let’s remember ballet was originally exercise for rapier duels.

My husband and I went to “Cotillion” in the 8th grade, Lots of fun for us, not so much for the boys. Some still dance the “box step”

When our kids went to Cotillion the times changed, they were much more interested in each other than we were at that age.My daughter got in trouble (with 3 of her friends) for dressing up as a punk rocker on costume night. (Complete with pink hair and safety pins for earrings.)At the same age I wore a Little Red Riding Hood outfit.

My wife signed us up for a ball room dance lesson 25 years ago. Cost her $10 if I remember right at a time when we really didn’t have $10 to spare. We didn’t go. I’ve always felt kind of bad about it but not bad enough to sign up for it again. ;)

We segregated the gym class. Girls did dance while guys did wrestling. Thank goodness! As for the man on the right, I disagree that that is Anthony. That man is a blond while Anthony has freckles, wears glasses and is a redhead.

My father was the one who loved dancing. My mother HATED it. People vary more than we think.

I would be the unhappy one here—I dislike dancing. My husband likes it a lot more than I do; he’s the one who insisted we have dancing at our wedding reception.

SPOILER ALERTAnthony met his wife Theresa through ballroom dancing. I think they actually won a few competitions. Unfortunately that was the only area they were actually compatible.

Yeah it’s so unfair that they actually have to do something to please their wives…
