Thanks. That’s better said than I’ve ever heard it before. Why did any reporter ever believe Trump’s rants were to be reported as serious news? He came to our town recently and was greeted by a crowd of protesters. The neatest sign said simply: MEIN TRUMPF

Still a better alternative than “Let me lie to you some more” Hilliary or “Let me tax you even more” Bernie.

Trudeau has Trump’s coloring wrong. His face should be red, except for the area around his eyes should stay pink. How has Trump gotten so sunburn in the middle of winter/

Trump is getting even “highly educated” people to vote for him. People are feeling powerless and that their gov doesn’t care and La Donald is tapping into that. He does come across, tho, as thinking of all people as patsies and fools. Kind of like a medieval king.

I kept reading this waiting for the punchline. But Garry took time out for a PSA today. “Doonesbury Cares.”

What was it HL Mencken said about the desire of the electorate to support someone “just like them”? This guy is America’s Mussolini. Complete with Brown Shirts. A walking talking scream for genuine election reform.

Who knows where this election will take us? I think Hillary would be great, and long overdue, but it is hard to say what will happen next. Bernie is the bright shiny new object, (though he has been around for several decades), so it is hard to tell. BTW, the recent SCOTUS development involving the death of Scalia is also interesting as a glimpse into the psyche of the right wing. Jeez, how long have we had a conservative court now? Despite the fact that the old white right wingers are steadily dying off. Obama will not simply give up his responsibility to nominate someone, he does have almost a year left. If he were to abdicate his responsibility, it would mean a lot of dire consequences for the right wing in the not so distant future, as the shoe can always be on the other foot, when the GOP happens to be sitting in the oval office again, so perhaps they should be careful what the wish for. Also, the lower courts tend to be more liberal than the supremes, so if things are to be decided there, I don’t think the GOP will be all that happy either. Poor babies.

Hillary did the best she could in the Benghazi situation. Stevens was told to move to a more secure location, but he refused. The Secretary of State can hardly go and hold the hand of every ambassador every minute throughout the world. It speaks volumes that the GOP are hanging their hat on this one incident, tragic as it turned out, it was certainly not the fault of the Secretary of State. Considering the many more deaths involving our country during the Bush administration, the constant drumming of Benghazi is rather pathetic.

If Trump hadn’t happened to be rich the day before his father was born, he would currently be an obscure carnival barker in West Podunk, Nowhere, and the United States would be much better off.

For those who missed the debate last night, it took a really savage tone. Trump called Bush a poopie head. Bush came back at him with, “you’re a doo doo breath,” to which Trump replied, “I know you are, but what am I.” Bush cleverly responded, “oh Yeah.” Then Trump said that if Bush thought he was ugly, his mother was uglier to which Bush came back with “at least my mother didn’t mate with an orangutan”. Then they started spitting at each other at which point they were sent to their rooms without dessert. Wow, fireworks.

Trudeau is brilliant per usual. I am glad he is still on the scene. I also can’t say I feel sorry for anyone commenting her who thinks he is tiring/boring. Save yourself! You certainly aren’t required to read him or comment on him in anyway!

Can’t wait for the GOP convention when they broker the nomination to Bush or Rubio and Trump runs as an independent. Hillary2016! (Or Sanders2016 if he gets the nom!)

I hope more Democrats will wake up and smell the coffee before it is too late. Bernie will not be elected. Hillary has a chance. Bernie does not. Some of us are old enough to remember George McGovern. The balance of the Supreme Court may be in jeopardy, even though Obama should be able to make a nominee soon.

Garry does not favor Trump. Many others also don’t favor Trump. Getting back to the supremes, can anyone remember back to when the Democratic appointees were in the majority on the Supreme Court? It must be like 4 decades ago.

Well my fellow Americans, last time around you elected possibly the most intelligent and capable president we’ve ever had, and then sat and watched him get totally neutralised by all the halfwit congressmen and senators who claim to have the Country at heart but really are only in it for themselves and to make trouble.

If you end up with a certifiable lunatic this time, that nowhere else in the world will respect, then so be it.. maybe all those congressmen will
