Destined for Reality TV. That seems to be the magnet for people with no talent but a desire to be famous.

Well, that’s it. For the weekday strip, that is. Starting Monday in my lineup, the The Middletons (the sister strip of Bound & Gagged) will take over. The now Sunday only comic of Stone Soup will move to my “Sundays Only” line-up with Foxtrot.

I don’t suppose you will, Jan, but I think it would be great if you started the Sunday only strips with age progression so that we might see some of these predictions evolve.

Good-bye, good friends. We’ll look forward to seeing you on our Sunday visits now instead of having you right next door to visit with every day. It’s been wonderful. We’ll miss you. Thank you for everything.

I hope it isn´t the case with Luci – those guys are annoying, and lacks arguments.

Of Val and Phil life and Joan and Wally with Max growing and Luci and more important cannot forget Biscuit. We wish you well on your life and happy we still have Sunday. When I have more time I may go back to read strips I missed.

Stone Soup is full of my favorite comic characters! When I lived in Japan, I didn’t have access to this strip. Now, I will really miss the weekday ones, but am relieved that the Sunday ones will continue. Thank you for your top notch comics, Jan!

That was a very satisfying and memorable last daily strip. It reminds me of Calvin’s and Hobbes’ last winter sled trip together. I’m looking forward to reading Stone Soup from the beginning, and continuing to follow the Sunday strips.

I spent an enchanting hour-and-a-half yesterday (Friday) listening to Jan Eliot tell her tale at a gathering in Springfield. We learned the origin of most of the characters. Off. Jackson is modeled on a real motocop who stopped Jan several times, and was sympathetic to a single mother working full time. (No, they did not date) I can’t tell you what a wonderful experience it was. She is warm, funny, and open. She answered all the questions the audience asked. It was an afternoon I will treasure for a long time. The rumor from the syndicate is that Go Comics will rerun from the beginning. Since she is now doing one strip a week, Jan will take over coloration from the talented young woman who has been doing it for some years. The color is added in Photoshop.

I will miss this as a daily strip, from what I have seen it will still be running on Sunday. I hope that somehow the writer will keep us updated on all the family members including the Grandmother. It’s just a comic I know but I really enjoy this one.

p51strega, you wanted to see the beginning of the strip — I think all you have to do is click on the red “<<” button at the top of every strip, and it takes you to the first one!

Sad loss. I’ve been a comics reader since I became a reader in the late thirties, when the pages were too wide for my 5 year old arms to hold, and the Sunday Funnies were spread out on the living room floor. I put this strip among my long term favorites and will miss their daily visit. Thanks, Jan, for bringing this wonderful family into our all our worlds.
