Arlo would have not called it “danger” but “opportunity.” Are we sure Gene is really Arlo’s son?

Is Gene old enough to use that cultural reference?

Probably not… I can hear this phrase being spoken by Arlo enough that Gene might have adopted it.

Interesting…. some people suggest it is a pregnancy, some suggest it is BUYING the restaurant. Could be either… but what about the possibility that it is that Gus gave her the “49%” share and she wants to fix up the farm? I still also wonder if there is a movement afoot (albeit slow) for Arlo & Janis to move down to those parts, live on the boat, and (if) the kids buy Gus’s restaurant, they will help run it in their retirement years?

Maybe that basket has a wad of cash from Pop……..

It could be anything, but I don’t think either one of them would want work at the restaurant anymore….A large amount of cash could get the farm up and running….

A good kind of danger! I thought the restaurant deal was closed, over, and they were both glad about it.

She bought the restaurant.

She should not drink if she is having a baby.

Since I’d forgotten about it, they did get married back in 2012. Nothing fancy. That rules out my first guess.

Maybe Arlo’s Alfred E. imitation was because HE bought out the restaurant (without telling Janis, but has clued MaryLou in), and MaryLou has offered to help Arlo run it…with Gene’s help, too.
