The silver lining is that now he has to eat all of the ice cream.

Fred’s perception of “Bad vibes” in this situation is a perfect example of the “Top-down” theory of cognitive processing.

Hoo Boy ! Fred is not off to a good start, this morning. Somehow, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing him at the Tiki today, earlier than usual.

The fridge says “Step away from the toaster or I drop my lower door too.”

The nitroglycerine should NOT explode in the freezer, but it WOULD in the toaster.

I replaced the screws in the oven door of my old range at this house with lock washers and tightened them many times before I threw it out and got a new one from Sears delivered. Good to have one that no one else cooked on.

My side-by-side frig is at its life expectancy of 15 years now too(delivered day after I moved in in 1998), but usually it’s the compressor with a frig, so Sears again (used to do Best Buy with Cuddles, but they don’t DO online last time I tried) and online shopping makes it much easier to compare models.

I see the packaging in Fred’s freezer is not well done, not just a bottle; Although plastic ones are OK- I used to mix about 1/2 gin to purified water and stick a few in my cooler for outings (drink as they melt).

After dentist today, I’ll do Albertson’s (Sprouts does not carry V8 and I have a coupon) and I need the makings for red sauce that any store has, because none left in the freezer.

I’ll settle for Semtex or C-4 , thanks. Safer and easier and more bang for my buck.

I’d not freeze glass bottles unless ALL alcohol; more than 50% water freezes HARD (no problem with plastic water bottles with a 1" gap – those just took longer to defrost, and I usually packed 2 or 3 for the day).

Harold impatiently banged his fork on the table, then pressed the end against the surface. This caused it to act like a tuning fork so that mechanical vibrations emanated from it across the table top, making the whole structure sing at the pitch of G sharp below middle C. The vibes traveled down the table legs, across the wooden floor and up the sides of the fridge. Since G sharp happens to be the natural resonant frequency of the hinges in the freezer compartment door these began to vibrate in sympathy to the incoming waves resulting in a mechanical disturbance of increasing magnitude until, inevitably, they cracked apart under the stress of these forces, like the fabric of a bridge under the rhythmic tread of troops marching in step, letting the tightly packed contents push themselves and the door outward in an explosive release of ice, frost, fragments of frozen leftovers and tv dinners. You are responsible for the bad vibes, Harold. Don’t blame the morning.

Fred considered putting his fork into the toaster to end it all, but when the freezer door fell off, he knew that nothing would go right today, and all he would get for his effort would be a twisted fried fork and no toast, so he decided rather to put his fork down slowly, and back out of the kitchen into an uncertain future.
