This shows that Toni is looking for a “partnership”… some would tell you that you even get “making mistakes wrong”…. there’s a lot of stress, depending on how much or how little they want taking place…..but “this bicycle is built for two”….

I was in Vietnam. My future wife (and her mother) planned it all. I merely had to show up, sign the wedding license, say “I do” in front of the preacher and guests and kiss the bride. All on the same day I got off the airplane after my second tour of Vietnam. She was a keeper. We had twenty-two good years together and three great kids before the black camel knelt at the door and she had to leave us.

if most young folks put as much work into the marriage as they do into the wedding, there would be less divorce. It is NOT necessary to pay the equavelant to the down payment on a nice house, just to get married. A very nice wedding can be accomplished on about $2 thousand or less if you just keep your head. I watched a wedding show on TV the other day and that “Bride” spent $20,000.00 on her DRESS…… good gravy, that is stupid.

Sorry. Guys are not going to help you pick out your shoes. The groom’s job at the wedding is to show up on time in some semblance of properly dressed and sober enough to say “I do.” Although that last is optional. Bride’s mother chooses the photographer. The dress will be worn once, cleaned, carefully put in a hanger bag, and stored in the closet as a little shrine in remembrance of a wonderful day. Consequently, get a cheap gown. And Toni really, really, does not want Brad’s advice on her hair and nails.

228 decisions really? Why make life so complicated, where, when, and how. She already has the who and she knows the why. So really it is just three other aspects to decide. It is one day out of the rest of your lives, don’t alienate everyone who would like to share it with you. If you can’t afford a lavish wedding now, making payments on it will add to a lot of stress later.

“Help me out planning the wedding” does not equal Bridezilla. And joking about there being a lot to the planning does not mean she is going over the top. Some of the choices may include things like The Degroot’s yard or the firehall? Daytona, DeGroot, or Daytona-DeGroot? Luann for maid of honor, or that old friend from fireschool? Brad’s house, her apartment, or a new place? What color should Shannon’s dress be? Some are more trivial than others, but they all add up.

Sometimes, people make the assumption that the man only has to show up and say the ri(ght words, wear the attire they’re given, and don’t mess anything up…. sometimes that seems to be because some guys are not the “planning type”, or it seems as though the bride to be is the “planning type”….some places, the parents, of either the bride or groom step in and make all the decisions, based on tradition or who is footing the bill…. but it doesn’t always have to be all or nothing…. ==The main thing is that such should theoretically be a joyous occaision of anticipating the beautiful union….but some have become more stressful than they should be, because of the assumption that one of the above is “what should be” gets into the minds of someone during the process, where either they try to take over, or end up battling the bride, or the bride may assume that she has to go around trying to please everybody…==So whether the Bride is expected, or the couple gets to do it together, or the parents or someone else, the best advice is to have “confidential talk” ahead of time, those who are going to be involved, so that whatever the tradition or expectation is, the communication and execution of plans will not get too frustrated along the way (and even the Bible says that)….==This also can include how much is to be expected to pay, and if it is decided to have a “royal wedding”, then it can all be planned in advance, hopefully with the realization that someone will eventually have to pay for it… in this way, perhaps the realization of keeping costs down can come into play, and maybe it can end up that a wedding can still be beautiful without costing so much (for example, if someone would be glad to do the dress making or is good at making a cake or decorations, or can offer a discount on transportation)… with some creativity and imagination, you’d be surprised at what can be done….

“There is Toni, pretty and barefoot, sitting on the couch. It is Brad’s house. You can tell by the arched door. Now if they had been at Toni’s house with no TJ in the next room, I would wonder. If Brad had also been barefoot, I would wonder. But Brad is fully clothed, TJ is nearby planning his next theft. Toni just drop by to plan a wedding. No spending the night there, and no sex.”

Your reasoning is pretty lame here, in my opinion. We have no idea if TJ is there or not. He is not seen and has not been mentioned. They are both fully clothed, Toni just kicked off her flip flops before putting her feet up on the couch. Some people do not like to go barefoot, at all, ever. I will put on my house slippers just to walk the few feet to the bathroom at night. My slippers have hard soles, not the spongy type that have no support. Yeah, I know Brad is young and doesn’t have my problems, but I didn’t care to go barefoot when I was young and fit, either. TJ is probably out lining up details for his food truck business, and trying to figure out if he can fit a bed in there when he gets kicked out of the house.
