My bed is low enough to the floor that the cat has only been under there once and had a hard time getting out so he just sleeps on top.

I did not grow up with AC in any of the houses we lived in, just fans and open windows, I lived in Hawaii for several years and we just opened the windows there also and let the trade winds blow through. I guess it is all about what you are used to and I find that I can NOT live with out the AC now days and if for some reason it is out I can not stand it. Dropping the temp from 78 to 77 is good.

I live in North Texas and it has been over 100 many days this summer and my husband puts the AC on 78 or 79 and every time I pass the control I move it down to 77, which is only one or two degrees but it make a difference……especially when I use the ceiling fan.

I spent a lot of time sitting on the top step in the pool so the kids could play. Kiddie pools are a way better investment when they are small.

With my first child my husband was not allowed to be with me when I was in labor so the Dr told him to go home because it would be several hours and when he walked in the door the phone was ringing, the hospital telling him to come back, it was time for delivery. It was a 30 mile one way trip but the made it in time. Lesson here is it is YOUR child too so stay and deal with it no matter what they tell you. With my second she was breech so he stayed by me and fanned me while I labored and delivered her, not C section.

I was 28 when my daughter brought Chicken Pox home for the Christmas break and 3 weeks later my son broke out on his 3rd birthday and the next day I broke out…itch, itch…scratch….scratch.

I understand and use the technology of today but I do not think it was all for the good.

In my house when the first door slammed he would have gone BACK IN, closed the door softly and come back out and closed the door softly………door slamming was not permitted.

I saw a prediction of 108 here in Texas by June 3rd. Weather guy said 10 days of 100+ every day starting June 1st with 98/99 every day this coming week.
