jrmerm typed - Jeff and Mel have the same hair color, maybe they are actually close relatives. —–

You know, before Joanie Caucus left her husband and jumped on the cycle with Mike and Mark, if memory serves, she had a daughter…..

I mean, if little VietNamese orphan Kim can re-enter the strip as Mike’s second wife….why not?

Let’s say, that ignoring all logic, the entire resources of the Republican party and the Democratic Party, McCain and Clinton, were taken in by this conspiracy to put an intelligent black man in the White House.

Let’s say Obama were ousted from office.

What is it the birthers want as a result?

    President Biden?

    President Pelosi?

I’m just curious. I’d heard the core of the birthers were Palin supporters. How many other frauds would they have to pull off to get that to happen.

Ok, yesterday she had dagger-eyes for BD. Today she’s all sweet and thankful.

She’s going to shoot someone before the day is done.

This is a weird one. She happily announces her progress, he replies like BD would She reacts in an angry condescending way.

Their backstory is that she was harassed and had a problem with men in authority in the military. BD has seemed to flirt with her in the past, although I don’t know their ranks.

All in all, I’m thinking she hasn’t progressed all that far, and the men in the sandbox might be in for trouble.

I take Alex’s comment as being rather matter-of-fact. Everyone knows you committed adultery, Mom, why are you acting surprised? I’ve seen that same kind of “matter-of-factedness” in my nieces reacting to other family incidents.

Just my opinion, but I don’t think yesterday was a gaffe so much as Boopsie pointing out a difference between Arab cultures and Iranian. The humor yesterday comes from Sam truly being Boopsie’s daughter and having inherited a certain amount of cluelessness.

And having Zonker for a nanny certainly is not a cure for cluelessness.

As for the green, GT doesn’t color the strips himself, the syndicate has someone else that does it. It would be nice if they actually read the strip first…..

    And GEE1A, it’s spelled etc.

Anyone else get the feeling that Mrs. DeLuca might be concerned that Alex might pull Tog away from her and the trailer?

I’m glad it wasn’t just me wondering. Nice to know other people are aware of the history.

Do you enjoy feeling old? Try this one on for size. Back when it was fashionable, sometime during the 70s, GBT did a series of strips about a VietNamese orphan who had been adopted by an American family. (There had been a lot of that going on.) Little baby girl Kim usually had the tag line of the strip. You may remember her first words, “Big Mac, Big Mac”.

Kim still makes appearances in the strip. She’s Michael Doonesbury’s wife.
