Today’s extremist, radicalized Qrazy Qonspiracy theory TrumpubliQan Qult Qonservatives will not take the slightest steps towards keeping battlefield-grade weapons of war out of the hands of terrorists, convicted violent criminals, domestic violence abusers or severely mentally ill persons or anyone who wants to take a military-grade weapon into a church, nightclub, concert, or PUBLIC SCHOOL FILLED WITH LITTLE CHILDREN, but they will SPARE NO EFFORT to “protect” children from being exposed to actual honest, objective history.

The violent thugs who screamed and threw rocks at little Ruby Bridges or the Little Rock Nine don’t want their grandchildren to learn that they screamed and threw rocks at little Ruby Bridges or the Little Rock Nine.

More kids have been sacrificed on the blood-stained altar of NRA domestic terrorists and gun manufacturer profits than the number of brave military heroes who have been sacrificed on the blood-stained altar of greedy corporate profits for the “defense contractors” of the “military-industrial complex” that [Republican] Eisenhower warned us about.

And until this country decides it loves its children more than letting terrorists, convicted violent criminals, domestic violence abusers or severely mentally ill persons have unfettered easy access to military-grade weapons, the mass murder of little children will continue.

And they have the NERVE to call themselves “pro-life.”

Kids shouldn’t have guns. Except my kid, he is very responsible and adult. I got him a Glock when he was 12, he hasn’t shot anybody yet. He takes it to school for protection. He is a good boy.

Funny how most this things happen in Dem run places and some how is GOPs fault . Maybe why should look into why a 16 year old would even want to shoot ppl is not cause of the instruments the guns dont make them do it… but if you plant hate, victim hood, self hatred among other idiotic ideas maybe that is the cause

The idea is to win legally. Since the early 1950’s and starting with McCarthy, as the Korean Police Action (still ongoing) went FUBAR and the mighty US invulnerability was questioned, the GOP picked the uneducated GULLible rural voter as its base.

Pandering to the unwashed mostly white masses, with the use of perpetual anxiety mixed with instances of extreme fear, and gradually refining the approach has us to where we are today. Seven decades later and the Dems are still without a consistent strategy to fight it.

As my not-so-bright nephew would say, “I don’t want to be a communist/socialist who will be forced to take a poison vaccine after they take my guns”.

Need a national mental health support system. One not just for the violent extremes that make headlines, but also for anxiety, victims of bullying, social dysphoria, Post partum depression, etc because those silent ones can become deadly too.

@leonardonyc. MS, LA, and AL are Democrat-led states? Those were the three with the highest homicide rates by state in 2019 per the CDC.

    https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/homicide_mortality/homicide.htm

Or perhaps you meant by city. St Louis has the highest rate (at 87/100,000 residents).

    https://fox2now.com/news/missouri/st-louis-has-highest-murder-rate-in-u-s-in-2020-other-crimes-decreasing/

St Louis’ mayor is a Democrat, but any city does not exist in a vacuum. The surrounding areas are strongly Republican. There is some good analysis of complicating factors later in the story as well.

Think that the problem is far more complex, and less one-sided, than your post would lead others to believe.

Maybe we should arm all students above third grade and just pick up the bodies at the end of the school day. That would make the NRA and Republicans happy.

A pity we have ignored the experts for decades now.

Walk through metal detectors. Recommended since Columbine. Ignored since Columbine. Would have likely prevented nearly every school shooting since.

Never mind if a 12 year-old is raped by a family member until she becomes pregnant. Coney-Barrett thinks it’s fine for her to carry to term then put the product of incest up or adoption. That is so much more important to focus on than 15 year-olds using their Christmas presents to kill 5 classmates and injure countless more and who knows how many teachers.
