The right wingers say that any attempt to balance by race is racist on its face. They have a point, but it’s not really valid until AFTER we’re all starting from a position of equality. When an unbiased examination of… housing quality, wage or salary, percentage of kids who get a university degree… shows that black folks and hispanic folks and oriental folks and white folks come out about the same, then would be the time to undo the extra measures that we need right now.
Ya know, Payne has just become a troll throwing crap out there to pile up outraged comments. Maybe we should take a break from commenting here until he comes up with something based loosely in reality. I am.
Given the current supporters (neo-nazis, white supremacists, and the like) who are calling for armed demonstrations at every state capital, not to mention in Washington on Inauguration Day, I suspect Mr. Payne is adopting a self-defense posture; “See, guys? I’m really on your side!” Because that’s what MAGA is all about – preserving and perpetuating White Male Privilege.
I heard Dr. King speak in a small black church in Washington, D.C. about a month before he was killed. The audience was almost entirely black. I was sitting perhaps fifty feet back. This was during the period when the phrase “Black is beautiful” was becoming popular, and amazingly, it was seen as somewhat controversial. It was a slogan of a more assertive black movement. Those of us on the left knew that Dr. King’s personal politics were somewhat to the left of his public statements; during this period his public statements were gradually moving left, at some political cost. At one point in the speech he started to talk about the phrase, “Black is beautful”. He said that he embraced the phrase and the sentiment, and as he said, “Black is beautiful”, he sort of stood up a little higher and drew his hand over his hair, as if looking in a mirror getting ready to go out, looking good. I was sitting next to two middle aged black women, and as King did his “Black is beautful” gestures, they both started to squeal, and one turned to the other and said, “He is SOOO beautful!!!”
And so it starts.. Sadly there are Americans that will believe this type of slander. You have right of “Free Speech” Henry but this irresponsible use of it is exactly why there was an attack on the Capital.. why there are mass shootings..riots.. rebellions. Why America, ain’t the shining city on the hill no more. Keep it up and you soon won’t have an America.
We don’t have to wait till “some day” to judge people by the “content of their character, and not by the color of their skin”. That can be done today. So, why wait?
Yeah, and that’s why he was Vice President to a black man. Now as President, he has a Vice President that his a black woman. I’m going to have to say, they is about as stupid as it gets Payne.

Payne had a very strange dream that he was a valid cartoonist. He should not have eaten whatever it was before he went to sleep.

Come on, give Henry a break. He’s supporting judging people on the content of their character even though that puts him at a real disadvantage.

Like I keep saying, Trump Disciples are incapable of producing a cartoon that doe not LIE.

So, Payne, racism is a bad thing now? Does that mean that cops should not be killing unarmed black men?
