even though i met hunter thompson once, in a unique and lovely interlude (he picked me up hitchhiking in his red convertible in a time and place where things were safer than they are now) i am not a big fan of his story lines in Doonesbury.

Most teams, in most sports, have gone through periods of being a doormat. I guess that must have been one of those years for the Nuggets. They were not the Nuggets to which their name refers. Still … ouch! You’re getting trash talk from the character Honey in Doonesbury.

Has anyone read any news stories of soldier orphans who found their fathers through DNA testing? The Ancestry DNA kit is not even available in Vietnam, and it’s questionable how many in that country could even afford it.

The Denver Nuggets are still in the new team class for me. I still think of the Philadelphia Warriors and Syracuse Nationals as current teams.
