Just so I’m clear: Jeff did something nice for his father without even being asked, right? He’s arranged for Rick to earn money (no matter how small a sum) for doing something Rick’s already doing, for free, anyway, right?

That doesn’t seem to be how GBT is presenting it, though. In the last panel, it’s as though Rick is Zonker and Jeff is Zipper, the former is basically humoring the latter. It must just be me.

I respect that after 13 years as a blogger, Rick still puts on a tie. I lost the tie two days into working from home in March 2020 and even now only wear one as needed rather than as a regular part of the daily uniform.
