Shouldn’t she be working?
… “we got the bubble headed bleach blond who comes on at five, she can tell you about the plane crash with a gleam in her eye” … (Thanks Don Henley!)
If you look at Luann’s eyes in panel #4, she seems a bit surprised that it’s come to this. Give in and enjoy it! Go Gunther!
True that, but well said Brad!
Merry Christmas you two!
Like I said, who did she bribe to get the pizza, or did she trade the notes?
Who did she have to bribe to pay for it?
Just a few months before our first daughter’s wedding, I was laid off. Crank up the credit line. The layoff did lead me to a enjoyable 14+ years as a tech consultant/ computer teaching job.
Better than showing up empty handed, even if it’s to your own party. Safe for now Brad, her look is genuine.
Years ago my wife surprised me with a birthday party. It wasn’t easy to do either. Before we added onto the back of the house, I had a nice shop in our back yard where I’d work on my model trains or whatnot. This particular Saturday, I was out there doing something and I was ready to come in and help with dinner. She heard me coming and said I didn’t have to come in yet, that I could stay out a bit longer. OK, didn’t think anything of it. A little later, my oldest daughter came out and said to come in. We went in to the kitchen together and I was literally floored by the surprise and the number of people in our little kitchen. It was the best. Good job Toni and TJ!
