Mr. Ed, was a horse. Captain Eddie is a horses @$$.

I love Eddie! He’s got a great grasp on reality, and the sense of humor to cope with the most scathing insults. Even if he’s the source of them. He’s no sophomanic.

Anoesis sort of accurately describes a man at orgasm.

Pure sensory emotion without the mechanics why. Bliss?

How about enuresis…that is below the waterline too….

Why didn’t he name it after Flo?

You have to speak slowly when you say phrases like “Polish it in the corner,” or the “Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Company.”

They’re just propped up logs. When the boat gets lifted enough, they’ll drop away and turn into proper boating hazards.

I didn’t bother with Dictionary.com. I just typed “definition: anoesis” in my browser’s Google search bar, and got several definitions to chose from, without having to go to any site or seeing anyone’s ads…

“anoesis " means cluelessness!!

This has to be one of Wiley’s funniest—hilarious and insightful. Great stuff!

Non Sequitur is my fave comic. I could not find a definition of anoesis. I have a healthcare background and I could infer a definition, however I don’t believe that’s what you had in mind. I found a definition for anoesia in my medical dictionary; “want of understanding. Lack of power of comprehension, as in severe mental retardation.” After reading today’s strip, anoesia seems to be a model Wiley non sequitur.

Thanks for always giving me a smile, and using brilliant satire in getting to the heart of the matter.

Just the word on a Yahoo search (my homepage) gave me a choice between definitions and lyrics (it seem there must be some – did not go there).

Dunno – after looking it up, I’d say the name is very apropos…

Perhaps, but mine was still funnier than yours and took less words. So I still win.
