I’ve seen parents walking at their normal pace, holding a small child by the hand. Child is running to keep up. Parent then tells the child, “you shouldn’t be tired, we haven’t gone that far.” I’ve told a few parents that the child had to take 4 steps at a faster pace to keep up with you. Parent slowed down and apologized to child.
