I really, really hate ageism. When people ask me how I am doing, I respond, “Not bad for an old man.” Most people chuckle, but a few respond, you’re not old you’re _____." I wish we would stop stigmatizing old age.
Had a lovely chat with the young lady making my tea at Starbies … do i sound grandmarmie yet … wait for it, and shes super excited about her college admission. We talked majors and planning, etc. and it hit me, this is my 30th anniversary of high school grad. Holy moly. Blink-Blink. Blink-Blink.
I am less of a proper adult now than i was then. Heavens what have i done with my life!!

I’ve heard it said that the 70s are the “old age of youth,” and that the 40s are the "youth of old age”.
