Texas ranks 30th for population density (List_of_states_and_territories_of_the_United_States_by_population_density on Wikipedia) and could more readily absorb the influx than the states the politically vengeful Abbott is thoughtlessly choosing.
After he discovered that Blue states like Massachusetts actually took in migrants, gave them jobs, helped them out, and welcomed them into the community, that wasn’t mean enough for him, so now he’s trying to dump them in Chicago. He’s a vile excuse for a human being, trying to show his cruelty for campaign purposes.
Why shouldn`t Chicago, New York and other sanctuary cities share the financial burdens caused by a bad border policy? Texas has millions but they are only shipping thousands.
Chicago was impounding the buses, so now they’re being dropped off in the suburbs, at train stations. Someone then buys them all train tickets into Chicago. I suspect Abbot is using federal money allotted to Texas to send the problem elsewhere, then using the money left for whatever.
I’ve said it before, but any economist worthy of the name will tell you that, with no illegal aliens at all in the country, prices would rise considerably on three things: food, clothing, and shelter.
They should confiscate the different vehicles used to transport as evidence; I do believe that interstate transport of illegal aliens is still a federal offence as well as violation of many state and local laws
Time for Republicans to come up with a federal solution instead of making it worse. But that would mean actually doing the work of passing realistic legislation. Too busy undoing Obama and Biden administration advances, holding fake hearings, and impeaching anyone they disagree with.
also my English husband says the easiest question is if you don’t want ANYONE to come here, then why keep insisting it’s the best country in the whole world? It’s NOT the best country and hasn’t been for a very long time…and as someone who had hopes and aspirations of a better WORLD, how naive I was and how sad it shows me I didn’t really see the forest for the trees. As the insightful Robin Williams pointed out, reality, what a concept. (not to mention George Carlin pointed out years ago where this was always going…I would have loved to see George sink his observational teeth into the orange skin bag though…)
We don’t have “Kings” here. We have aspiring dictators and arrogant Governors- but NO Kings. As for Jesus, he was just a Jewish philosopher who clashed with the Sanhedrin -and lost. Let’s try to keep it real and find sensible but humane solutions. You don’t have to be Christian to be decent. (You don’t have to be decent to be a Christian, either.)

I doubt if they landed in Chi town with those warm clothes.

Abbott is way beyond creep. The tree that took out his legs should have hit him higher, where his heart would be if he had one.

You go back to where your ancestors invaded from though I doubt they want your kind back either.

I think someone should fly him to North Korea and dump him off. But then he might like it.

The behavior of Abbott and Desantis is that of sociopaths and racists, who view these immigrants as “others,” not really people.

Does this mean we can finally scheißecan the “Christian nation” swill?

It’s only the blue cities Abbott is sending them to. They should confiscate the busses and jail the drivers.

the city of Denver is razing a large refugee camp today, while shelters are already stretched thin

It’s just giving sanctuary cities and states a chance to put their money where their mouths are. What’s the problem?

Better then staying in Texas.

Is that one of the Lizard People at the wheel?
I’d point out to Jeff, there are at least 40 better states to live in, than Texas.

America is being invaded, occupied and economically bled dry by illegal aliens all across your southern border. Do the math.

They signed a waiver to go there. If they do not like it there, they can always go back to Mexico.
