He must be standing on a bible instead of having a hand on it. That would make sense, since he thinks he is higher than the god of his minions.

Bad things* happen to a republic that knowingly elects clowns/entertainers/narcissists/authoritarians/pseudo-theocrats instead of competent collaborative legislative-building leaders.

    * e.g. losing [implied] rights/freedoms

Trump supporters don’t understand a dictator becomes everyone’s dictator. Theirs too. When a dictator assumes that position, it won’t matter what side you’re on. Do you think Vladimir or Kim care what side their subjects are on?

The only question a dictator agrees to submit to is: “Are you even greater than as great as everyone agrees you are?”

And that dictator will always answer that question in the affirmative.

Donald Trump says he will lock up his political enemies if he is president again.

In an interview on Tuesday, the rightwing broadcaster Glenn Beck raised Trump’s famous campaign-trail vow to “lock up” Hillary Clinton, his opponent in 2016, a promise Trump did not fulfill in office.

Beck said: “Do you regret not locking [Clinton] up? And if you’re president again, will you lock people up?”

Trump said: “The answer is you have no choice, because they’re doing it to us.”

Trump has encouraged the “lock her up” chant against other opponents but he remains in considerable danger of being locked up himself.

Trump is a dangerous un-American dictator.

Having lived through maaaaaany POTUS’s – some good, some bad, some “meh” – I’ve always marveled at the dynamic of countless Americans swearing that if “X” defeats “Y” to become POTUS, they’ll leave the US. But I think this time it’s ACTUALLY going to happen. A LOT.

Jennifer Rubin made an interesting point in a recent column. She notes that a number of today’s elected officials, when their religious (or other) beliefs are considered more important than the Constitution that they have sworn to uphold and protect, are not held to account for choosing not to uphold that oath. If they were honorable, they would resign (or follow the Constitution). But that would assume that any were/are honorable.

That’s the real problem with religion. The idea that I am right and cannot be questioned because I believe in something that I cannot prove is absurd, and is way too common, all the way up to the Supreme Court.

You think you read and heard everything…check this “ ‘QAnon Shaman’ Jacob Chansley, who served more than 2 years in prison for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on Congress, now wants to run for Congress”

He recently filed his initial paperwork with Arizona’s Secretary of State’s Office, indicating that he planned to run as a Libertarian for the state’s 8th congressional District, The Arizona Republic reported.

Though as a convicted felon he can’t vote, that doesn’t prevent him from running for office.

For the sake of all that we hold dear, VOTE BLUE! Voting third party is a cop out and helps the least acceptable candidate and outcome.

^ LWNJ Alert. “For all we hold dear”? Really. You hold dear the least popular POTUS since Jimmy Carter, and a V.P. who couldn’t run a Dunkin Donuts. Highest inflation, highest gas prices, highest number of illegal immigrants crossing our border, biggest military blunder ever (exit from Afghanistan), most vacation time for a POTUS ever while “Paris is burning”, most divided country. This is what you “hold most dear”? You should not be allowed to walk the streets let alone vote.

Is it a conundrum that Trump’s quest for absolute power corrupts he who is already absolutely corrupt? Hmmm…
