By pretending that you let Santos off because you and your ilk didn’t want to “set a bad precedent for this institution” (House of Reps) all of you nevertheless set one, Rep. Menendez.

The Thuglicans chose not to remove him because he’s reliably willing to vote as he’s directed… and those votes are FAR more important than the rule of law, being ethical, making sense or anything else that’s good for their constituents.

Santos is a prime example of the Republican party and certainly has the same character and integrity of 45, their lord and savior. The Republican Party has lost its soul and will wander in the wilderness for several election seasons.

Spare us the sanctimony regarding this peon Santos, whilst “gold bar” Menendez, a senior senator, remains in office after accepting bribes from a foreign government. They both need to go.

As has been pointed out by the Democrats, Santos is indicted, but not convicted, and removal of an unconvicted rep would be a bad precident. The other side of that coin is the Democrats have tarred the GOP with someone they don’t want in their caucus but are forced to include in their schemes, while showing that the Rs desperately need him in order to maintain the illusion that they’re in charge.

This is my favorite type of Clay’s comics, with Pizza Rat and all the other critters and details like the volleyball. And of course the depiction of that a-hole GS and his toes!
