Strange I never knew those were punishments . Have a garden so I already eat vegetables . Staying home tis easy who else will take care of the estate ? 10 minutes in the afternoon to recharge the battery . Going to bed early .. why not get some rest ;-)
I was an extremely good child. I was only punished once and that was due to a misunderstanding due to a lie from friend of mine for which my mom apologized. (Friend told me mom had called the school and I was to go home with her – since she was allowed on the “first grade playground” (saw her to talk to the woman in charge of the playground) when she was in second grade, I presumed it was true or they would not have let her on the playground to tell me. I went home with her and mom was frantic looking for me until later in the afternoon when her mom (who had been upset that mom had not asked if I could stay there) had me call home and my frantic mom came and got me. It was all sorted out and the friend got in trouble.
In general if I did something a little wrong I would go to my room on my own. Unfortunately generally it was when parents had something planned with the family and they would spend the rest of the day or night trying to get to me to come back out of my room so we could do whatever had been planned. (Yes, I was an annoyingly good child.)

Dreams — even mild nightmares — are something to look forward to. One can have more fun sleeping than being awake.

Don’t know that they were punishments, though as a child maybe thought of that way, so much as forced requirements.

You could finish that to-do list.

Self-discipline was the whole point of all that childhood training. (Yawn) Sorry, I have to go take a nap on some carrots. :)
