I started to read that book. I put it down for a while. I was going to come back to it and finish later. When my wife accidentally threw it out, it came back to me.
As a leftie I had to make my own boomerang. I threw it until I got it to come back. Watching it approach at high speed I realized I didn’t want to catch it. It wasn’t slowing down to land. It dug into the dirt where I had been standing. Yes, it returns if it misses the target, however, you are its secondary target, and it has better aim than you did.
it’s a hunting weapon, designed to return if you miss. genius design. euros throw a knife or axe and miss, now you don’t have an axe, and the other guy does.
I read a book about the history of salt. It was more interesting than you’d think. The author later wrote one about the history of cod. If history doesn’t occasionally shock and disgust you, you’re not doing it right.

Me: I’ve seen this before. Whatever I wish for will come back and bite me in some way.
Genie: I promise that won’t happen. I’m so sure it won’t I’ll give you infinite wishes if it does.
