Afternoon naps are the best. But I miss my darling Macushla (pictured) who took them with me. She used to lay beside me and fit perfectly into the nook of my arm.
When husband was still working he would come home and take a nap until dinner.
Since he quit his job (a little more than 15 years ago – is it really that recent, seems like much longer) he no longer needs a nap as he does not need to recuperate from work – and he was a director of a children’s health/education agency – not doing physical labor.

Learned that from my cat as well. And we regularly have a nap together on the couch in the afternoon.
