B: Klinique and Chick are a teaser for the next story-line? (Without Gameboy)

C: The insertion of Bob Oscar & family is comedy relief while writer works on block.

I don’t know if you all have picked up on it yet, but B.O.‘s cousin Klinique is going to be in a commercial with his chicken. I know it was said really quickly and may have passed everyone by. It’s important to know. It must be important given the space has been devoted to it. It’s certainly taken up more space than a stakeout to catch… – what’s his name? – Oh yeah – Gameboy. When was that? Five or six days ago?

Ray asked yesterday how many ways can it be said. Today we have another one. It’s a kind of thesaurus for story-telling. Shelley’s getting a lot of practice drawing the same thing different ways.

Tomorrow: A sleepy Gertie goes out to the barnyard to begin that evening’s dinner and accidentally wrings Chick Tracy II’s neck. Which ironically, is how Chick Tracy I met its fate. Moral of the story – Let Gertie finish her coffee before she begins her chores.

It just occurred to me — in panel 1, Klinique kind of resembles a young Julie Newmar.

If you take a close look,Klinique has aged greatly between panels one and two.

This is part of the plot.Since Curtis took over,NO showbusinessevent has taken place without some sort of disaster butting in.

It turns out Klinique has had some experience in making commercials, and although she looks a bit more mature today than she did yesterday (IMO), especially in panel 2, she could still be quite young (I have known at least one young teenaged model with a considerable professional portfolio already). She certainly seems enthusiastic about this gig and her partner in it, Chick Tracy II, with whom she seems to have hit it off. Tracy and B.O. cannot help but concur (panel 2)….
