Definitely an old non-PC one.

You can tell this strip is from around 1965, even without the date in panel 2. But even then it was out-of-date!

Not to mention she’s an astronomer, she’s seeing stars.

When they say “She’s a knock out!” I always thought they meant that she was gorgeous. Beats me! ;-p

The old joke was of course that cavemen were so ugly that the only way they could get a mate was by clubbing them. I have no idea who started that one. Possibly cavemen themselves as it’s so old…….

Has GoComics dropped the vintage BC? Today is Wednesday the 5th and this one is dated Monday the 3rd.

Literally!

Why does everything have to be politically correct today? If everything had to be politically correct to be seen on the computer, then you might as well get rid of every cartoon before 1980, every television show including All in the Family, every movie as women were portrayed as second class citizens as the men were after her and she refused and then finally gives in, movies like Blazing Saddles, and every comic strip. None of this can be shown on television or printed on the internet or viewed for us to see any more. You can’t compare life today to life back then. This comic strip was funny because it portrays caveman life as it was perceived. Look at all the stuff you got on the internet now. People glorify social media for people doing stupid things but why aren’t people stopping them?

Maybe there is a time loop going on and I am reliving the same day over? But no the other comics are moving forward in time.

Hasn’t his been the same strip for the past 3 or 4 days? Maybe it was the cute chick drawing it.

This is a test….repeat, this is a test. The best anyone can say about PC is that it stood for politically convenient, since the concept of correctness is so vague in this society. When the rights of the individual over ride the common good, there is seldom any agreement and genuine good will toward others. One look at today’s headlines will confirm that PC is a concept, not a reality. Frighteningly, the cartoon is too close to today’s reality in the more horrible human “relationships”. But…moving forward….please!

I don’t think this has anything to do with the strip being non PC, which it is very much not PC and should never had been shown, because if it was they would have just taken the whole strip off site and not show any of it anymore like they did with Dilbert Classic, I just think it is just s glitch and hopefully they can get it fixed soon.

And quite often — also in this case, I believe — the stereotype is not being used to promote it, but to ridicule it.

Unlike some today (I won’t name names, but you all are welcome to), I believe that criticism should not be banned by banning reference to the thing being criticized.
