Clayton will probably want to take it to school for show and tell.

Declare that its a service dragon, then you can take it into a grocery store

They should get Clayton an iguana. Except for size, no one will notice the difference.

Laura: That is called “scolding use of the name” in couples therapy.

So he wasn’t clueless all this time. He was aware Katy was the dragon lady – er – girl.

Age up the strip a few years. Katy will adore Nick, and Nick will be a pain in the rear for Clayton by following him everywhere.

Compromise, and get a bearded dragon instead. At least it won’t eat the dog…and baby Nick.

I remember the day my parents took my sisters out for the day – I was in junior high and had homework to do so stayed home. They came home with what my middle sister wanted for a long time – a dog!! I am not sure if they planned along to go to the shelter or my sister talked them into it. I was and still am terrified of animals – living with a large dog was not something I was comfortable with (nor was living with a small dog – I had dealt with living with tropical fish and hamsters) but a dog, who would walk around the house and me….

Somehow over the following years I ended up walking up the dog during a hurricane (mom, dad, me and the dog were staying in dad’s office, sisters were at a friend’s house) and many other similar events. Though little sister (by then grown) was the one in charge when the dog died – not my fault, I was married by then and not living at home. Middle sister could not take dog to her apartment, parents went on a trip and dog was left with little sister – we are not sure, but we think it was the spaghetti, tomato sauce and meatballs that little sister fed him (which had been left by mom for little sister to heat and eat). My husband always said that my mom’s cooking should not be fed to a dog.)
