The so-called “moderate” Republicans are perfectly OKAY with the situation.

They are happy to welcome George Santos (if that’s his name), Gym Jordan, and Perjury Taylor Greene to positions of power on House committees.

The so-called “moderates” will do ANYTHING to hold onto their legislative offices. They are terrified of losing any election.

Doing it for the grift’: Morning Joe and George Conway trash GOP ‘nihilists’ burning down the country for $25 donations

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and conservative attorney George Conway lamented that “nihilists” had taken over the Republican Party and were destroying American democracy from within. Far-right lawmakers like Paul Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene have been given committee assignments by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and the “Morning Joe” host and Conway discussed how their leadership within the GOP caucus showed how far the party had devolved into reactionary illiberalism.

The paying off of favors begins and the real fun starts. I saw where Rep. Vern Buchanan had words for McFarty over losing a chairmanship: "You f**ked me. I know it was you, you whipped against me,” Buchanan reportedly told the California Republican.

Hopefully there are enough “intelligent” republicans left to unite with the democrats to at least keep our country “afloat” until we can get the “Ship of State” going in the right direction again in 2024 – they don’t need to steer, they just need to keep it afloat, and hopefully that’s not TOO MUCH to ask of even them…

It appears Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz are no longer friends

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) were previously traveling the country together, raising money while calling out moderate Republicans they said didn’t support the MAGA agenda and thus were RINOs (Republicans in name only). Now that Greene has snagged spots on key committees like the House Oversight Committee and Homeland Security Committee, she appears ready to leave her friendship with Gaetz in the dust.

The Republican’s brilliant plan to make sure Dems don’t win elections in 2024 is to destroy the entire country in 2023. Either by killing a bunch of old people by gutting Social Security and Medicare which will take trillions out of the economy instantly, or just crashing the entire global economy by defaulting on the debt. Honestly, I don’t think most of them care which one happens. They’re all Nihilists who just want to burn everything down.

Scathing column declares ‘right-wing Republicans have their fingerprints all over the rise of antisemitism’

On January 12, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) released a report on antisemitism in the United States. It isn’t hard to see why many American Jews found ADL’s findings disheartening; according to ADL, “Over three-quarters of Americans, 85 percent, believe at least one anti-Jewish trope, as opposed to 61 percent found in 2019.”Washington Post opinion columnist Jennifer Rubin, an outspoken Never Trumper, doesn’t mince words in her scathing January 18 column. Analyzing ADL’s findings, Rubin blames far-right MAGA Republicans and their “kooky conspiracy theories” for the increase in antisemitism in the U.S.

    They’re loaded with q-theories, aren’t they.

I’ve invented one, too. I call it counter-pizzagate.

It’s about the children who were snatched away from migrant families in Trump’s concentration camps and subsequently disappeared. They can’t be found because Trump sold them to child p*rn*graphy rings. His very good friend Jeffrey Epstein used contacts in the sex trade world to introduce Trump to the buyers. That’s why Trump had Epstein killed in his jail cell: so Epstein couldn’t implicate him.
