    Double reeds are not easy to play. My high school band had a bagpipe core. The oboe players were naturals.

    Since the strip ended, Petey has grown up. Following and expanding on the example of Ian Anderson, he is now the lead oboist for a prog rock band. They call themselves Jethro Dull.
