Who gave stanford permission to mess with the English languarge? It is not our language to change; it was around WAY before there was a United States or Stanford University. what part of this is “education.”?

One should note that Stanford did not ban any words. Rather, it made suggestions on usage. Per their website: “We have particularly heard concerns about the guide’s treatment of the term “American.” We understand and appreciate those concerns. To be very clear, not only is the use of the term “American” not banned at Stanford, it is absolutely welcomed. Well I did a little research and found out that it was Stanford’s IT Dept that created the list for department use. Stanford, apparently, does not sanction the list. Nonetheless, it was their INFORMATION Technology Department that created this??!? i wouldn’t trust them to make a Swiss cheese sandwich after this piece of mental garbage.
